Enrollment for all courses and workshops offered by Valentini Advance Academy is limited to professional hair stylists only. All hair academy courses are designed for students to learn and work hands-on with highly qualified instructors through various disciplines of hair design including precision cutting and advanced colouring techniques.

Men's Collection - May 3rd 2010 - $150.00 (one day, includes mannequin)

The Valentini Artistic Team created 5 looks this season specifically for the guys. Multiple cutting techniques with razors, clippers and scissors along with quick colouring techniques, will help every stylist get inspired for their male clientele.

Collection Cut and Colour - May 9th & 10th 2010 - $225.00 (2 days, includes mannequin)

The Valentini artistic team creates a collection of 5 looks each year for the academy and to take on the road.

The collection will always include 1 male cut and color, 3 female cut & colours. (1 long hair, 1 medium length, 1 short cut.) As well as one dress-work

All the collection techniques will be based on current trends and are salon friendly (designed to be executed in standard salon appointment times).

Our 2-day Collection Cut and Colour programs are designed for stylists who colour and cut in their salons. This program alternates between various colour and cutting techniques.

Collection Colour - May 31st 2010 - $150.00 (one day, includes mannequin)

1-day collection colour will take the salon colourist through the colour portion of the collection

Creative Colour - May 17th 2010 - $150.00 (one day)

Creative Colour is the ultimate class for the colour enthusiast. Colourist will learn to look at hair as an art form. Get inspired in unique ways to color hair using different art tools. Principles of Fine Art are also introduced to achieve a one of a kind colour for your client.

Collection Cut - May 30th 2010 - $150.00 (one day, includes mannequin)

1-day collection cut will take the salon cutters through the collection cuts.

Photo Work Shop - April 25th & 26th 2010 - $450.00

You've taken your styling to the next level, now it's time to capture it on film! The Valentini Artistic Team and Trina Koster Photography will take you through all the steps of producing a creative photo shoot. We will go through concept development, storyboarding to execution of a professional hair shoot and editing. We will share with you some of our photo work and the thought process behind make up, posing, hair and wardrobe design.

In this hand on workshop you will be given time to experience each of the steps and work with a model to direct your own photo ready image. We will also cover were to get published and marketing ideas to help your images support your business. It's time to use your work to all its capacity!

*Salon Apprentice 101-103*

Must be a registered apprentice and be sponsored by a salon. These programs are designed for salons and salon owners that do not have the time to take their apprentices though their fundamental training.

Apprentice 101 - March 21st & 22nd 2010, June 27th & 28th 2010 - $125.00

This 2-day program that will take apprentices through:

  • Colour retouch
  • The pull through
  • Multi tonal foil rinsing

  • Round brush blow-dry
  • -Minimum requirement 6 months in the salon

Apprentice 102 – 2 Day Colour Workshop - March 28th & 29th 2010, June 20th & 21st 2010 - $125.00

Foundational Dress-Work - June 6th 2010 - $150.00

Do you cringe when you see dress-work in your appointment book? Does the thought of dressing hair for a special event leave you running for the back door? Foundational dresswork is the perfect start to a perfect finish! The secret, to long hairdressing is not a million pins but rather the prep you do to create your finished look. You will learn proper setting techniques and the right styling aids to get your client ready. We will also share with you the tools to make your dresswork easier to accomplish.

Creative Dress-Work - April 19th 2010, June 7th 2010 - $150.00

Creative dress-work is the ultimate class for pushing your imagination for the art of dressing hair. Learn creative setting techniques and learn which tools to use for the perfect finish. Learn trade secretes to achieve the latest modern looks using wefts and extensions. Design principles and form are also addressed in this course. Beginners should enroll in foundational dress-work before this advance course.
